6-Day Hanoi Ba Be Lake Ban Gioc Waterfall

Day 1: Hanoi – Ba Be National Park

  • Pick up from hotel in Hanoi to Ba Be National Park
  • Arrive homestay. Check in your room
  • Have lunch in homestay
  • Take a walk to boat station in Pac Ngoi village (1km)
  • Enjoy 2 hour boat trip around the lake to Fairy Pond, An Ma temple
  • Swimming in the lake – the most special activity in Ba Be Lake
  • Hiking back to the homestay
  • Have dinner and overnight at homestay of Tay people’ traditional house-on-stilt

Day 2: Ba Be National Park Full Day Trekking

~12km medium trekking: Pac Ngoi village – Mo, Qua villge, Chay village – Pac Ngoi village

  • Have breakfast at homestay
  • Start trekking to Mo, Lom village of Tay people
  • Stop at the Qua village of Tay people for the lunch (local restaurant)
  • Follow the another road to visit Chay village of Tay people
  • Back to homestay or go swimming
  • Have dinner and overnight at homestay

Day 3: Ba Be National Park – Cao Bang

  • Have breakfast at homestay
  • Cycle to Hua Ma Cave (6km), the biggest cave in Ba Be National Park
  • Cycle back to homestay. Check out
  • Have lunch at homestay then departure for Cao Bang
  • Arrive Cao Bang in late afternoon
  • Have dinner at local restaurant
  • Overnight at 3-star hotel

Day 4: Full Day Trekking

  • Have breakfast
  • Drive 40km then start the trek through limestone mountains, rice fields
  • Have picnic lunch on the way
  • Back to hotel in the afternoon
  • Have dinner at local restaurant
  • Overnight at 2-star hotel

Day 5: Full Day Trekking

  • Have breakfast
  • Start the trek through limestone mountains, rice fields
  • Have picnic lunch on the way
  • Back to hotel in the afternoon
  • Have dinner at local restaurant
  • Overnight at 2-star hotel

Day 6: Ban Gioc Waterfall – Nguom Ngao Cave – Hanoi

  • Have breakfast
  • Visit Nguom Ngao cave – Tiger cave
  • Visit Ban Gioc waterfall
  • Lunch in local restaurant
